Measuring for a Cane
Follow these simple steps to find the correct height for your Campbell Cane:
• Be sure to wear your comfortable walking shoes.
• Stand in a relaxed manner; raise your forearm to a comfortable angle (approximately 45 degrees below horizontal) in front of you.
• Have someone measure the distance from the floor to the lowest point on your wrist (rounded to the nearest half-inch). It will give the center of the handle.
• Alternate method is to measure your overall height and multiply it by .57 (57%) ex. Ht. 5’-10” or 70 inches X .57= approx. 40” to handle center.
The grip of the Campbell Handle or other handle style should fit comfortably in your hand. If necessary, minor adjustments can be made by removing the tip and shortening the length of the cane.
